Coach Aubrey Painter’s Tri-Valley volleyball team got back on the winning track Thursday night, October 3 in Dresden, as the Lady Dawgs defeated visiting West Muskingum 25-17, 20-25, 25-22, 25-17, back in the friendly confines of The Dawg House.
The win improved Tri-Valley’s record to 7-11 overall, and 6-7 in Muskingum Valley League play.
Statistically for Tri-Valley in the win: Riley Albertson had 2 aces, 20 assists, and 5 digs; Kendra Thomas (1 ace, 22 assists, 3 digs), Trinity VanDusen (1 ace, 25 digs), Abby Stanford (12 blocks, 5 digs, 18 kills), and Hannah King (4 blocks, 13 digs, 16 kills).
Back on Tuesday night, October 1 in Thornville, defending Muskingum Valley League co-champion Sheridan defeated the visiting Lady Dawgs for the second time this season, beating Tri-Valley 14-25, 17-25, 11-25.

Back on Saturday, September 28 at Meadowbrook, the host Lady Colts defeated visiting Tri-Valley in a hard-fought, closely contested affair, 25-22, 1-25, 19-25, 24-26.

Coach Painter and her Tri-Valley volleyballers have a busy week ahead, as the Lady Dawgs will be in action four times – with three of those games at home – in the next week, starting with a Saturday, October 5 invasion from the Maysville Lady Panthers in Dresden, a road trip to defending MVL co-champ John Glenn on Tuesday, October 8, back to Scottieland on Thursday, October 10, welcoming conference foe Philo, then wrap up the full week with a ‘Senior Day’ special on Saturday, October 12 vs Licking Valley, when the black and gold honor their four seniors (pictured below, l-r) Vanessa Ashcraft, Madison Archer, Jaydn Cooper, and Kendra Thomas, in pre-game ceremonies ahead of the non-league Lady Dawg vs Lady Panther contest.
