From a Lady Dawg to a Lady Cavalier!

Congratulations to Tri-Valley senior Claire Martin, (pictured above with her dad, Eric, and mother Jen) who on Thursday, March 18, signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career this fall at Walsh University in Canton.  Although she was an all-league performer and four-year member of the TVHS Lady Dawg varsity soccer team the past four years, Claire is also a standout on the track (indoor and outdoor) for the Lady Dawgs, where she excels in the long jump and sprint events and was recruited by Walsh University to join the Lady Cavaliers track and field program, where she should make an immediate impact.  An honors student at Tri-Valley, Martin plans to major in legal studies at Walsh and has been accepted into the school’s advanced law program, with an opportunity to graduate early as well.  With her college choice out of the way, Martin’s efforts will be concentrated this spring on helping the Lady Dawg track team win a Muskingum Valley League team championship, with a goal of some individual conference titles and postseason successes as well in her specialties – the long jump, 100-meter dash, and as a member of TV’s 4×100 and 4×200 meter relay squads. Congratulations Claire!  Good Luck in your senior season of track and field at TVHS, and best wishes for a great college career as well at Walsh University!
